1. Introduction

GsmHelp Electronics Workshop respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This policy is written for customers, website visitors and people who contact us about auto locksmith, vehicle key, ECU, immobiliser, module repair, dashboard repair and automotive electronics services.

We process personal information in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation, the Data Protection Act 2018 and, where applicable, the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations.

2. Who We Are

GsmHelp Electronics Workshop is an Auto Locksmith & Automotive Electronics Services business based in Evesham, Worcestershire.

3. Information We Collect

The information we collect depends on the enquiry or service required. This may include:

Name Address Email Address Phone Number Vehicle Registration Vehicle VIN Vehicle Make and Model Vehicle Service Information ECU Information Module Serial Numbers Diagnostic Information Website Enquiry Data

For automotive electronics work, technical information may be needed to identify a vehicle, ECU, module, key system, immobiliser system, dashboard or diagnostic fault. We only request information that is relevant to the service, enquiry, legal obligation or customer support requirement.

4. How We Collect Information

We may collect information when you contact us or use our services through website forms, WhatsApp enquiries, phone calls, emails, in-person contact and postal deliveries. If a module, ECU, dashboard, key or other vehicle electronic component is posted to us, information may also be collected from delivery labels, repair notes and service documentation supplied with the item.

5. Why We Collect Information

We use customer and vehicle information for customer communication, service delivery, vehicle ownership verification, fraud prevention, warranty administration, accounting and tax obligations, legal compliance and record keeping connected to the work requested.

Our lawful bases may include contract, legitimate interests, legal obligation and consent where required. For example, we may need contact and vehicle details to discuss a repair, confirm the correct module, diagnose an immobiliser issue, issue an invoice, keep warranty notes or check that a customer has authority to request a vehicle security service.

6. Vehicle Ownership Verification

For certain services, especially auto locksmith, immobiliser, key programming, ECU, module cloning or vehicle security related work, customers may be asked to provide evidence that they own the vehicle or have authority to request the work.

This may include a V5C, photo ID and ownership evidence. This helps protect customers, vehicles and the business from fraud or unauthorised vehicle access. We will only request verification where it is reasonably necessary for the service or legal compliance.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal and service information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose it was collected. This may include time needed to complete the enquiry or service, manage warranty or follow-up questions, keep accounting records, comply with tax obligations, handle disputes or meet legal requirements.

When information is no longer needed, it will be securely deleted, anonymised or archived where appropriate.

8. Sharing Information

We do not sell customer information. Information is only shared where legally required, where necessary to comply with law enforcement or regulatory requests, or where needed to support the service you requested.

Where third-party service providers are used, such as email, phone, website hosting, analytics, advertising conversion tracking, visitor behaviour tracking, cookie consent tools or payment/accounting services, they may process limited information on our behalf. We only use such providers where there is a reasonable business need.

If relevant tracking IDs are configured in the website tracking configuration, third-party processors may include Google, Microsoft, Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, Yandex and Hotjar. These services should only load as non-essential tracking after cookie consent has been accepted. If no tracking ID is configured for a provider, that provider's tracking script is not intentionally loaded by our tracking loader.

9. Cookies

Cookies are small files placed on your device by websites. Our website may use essential session cookies needed for basic website function, performance cookies to understand website behaviour and contact form related data needed to process enquiries.

If Google Analytics or similar analytics tools are used, cookies may help us understand visitor numbers, pages viewed and website performance. Analytics information is used to improve the website and is not used to identify individual customers unless combined with information you provide directly.

You can control or block cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how parts of the website function.

10. Website Analytics

We may use website analytics, advertising conversion tracking and visitor behaviour tracking to understand how visitors find and use the website. Analytics may collect information such as page visits, approximate location, device type, browser type, referral source and interaction data. This helps us improve website speed, content, service pages and customer experience.

Advertising conversion tracking may help us understand whether visitors contact us after seeing an advert or visiting a service page. Visitor behaviour tools may help identify usability issues such as broken journeys, confusing page layouts or technical performance problems. Non-essential analytics and tracking scripts should only load after the visitor has accepted cookies through the cookie consent banner.

Possible configured platforms may include Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Ads Conversion Tracking, Microsoft/Bing Ads UET, Meta/Facebook Pixel, TikTok Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, Microsoft Clarity, Yandex Metrica and Hotjar. We do not claim that every platform is active at all times; each platform only loads if its ID is present in the tracking configuration and consent has been accepted.
